STORY READING FOR KIDS
Lexicon’s story reading class for kids is a great introduction to a second language because it offers so much more than textbook learning. Reading stories stimulates the imagination, develops literacy and language skills, and helps improve concentration. Add to this the fact that many stories explore ideas about the world that interest kids. Children like to engage in meaningful discussions which can be linked to their understanding of a story. And they can use stories to develop their own ideas. Children learn sounds and grammar better when they share an interest in the subject matter and many stories engage learners right from, ‘Once upon a time, …’
Is this a free class?
This is a paid class. However, all Lexicon kids can join the free English Club, LexiKids Club, for free.

LexiKids Club is a weekly class. Free membership is granted to your child upon enrolment in our regular classes.

What happens after I sign up?
When you sign up for 1-to-1 Classes for Kids and Young Learners, the teacher will assess your child’s language ability and develop tasks that help them reach their learning goals. Parents often request that we use a certain coursebook. We will do our best to fulfill these requests.
When you sign up for group Classes for Kids and Young Learners, the teacher will assess your child’s language ability and place him in a class with other children of the same language and cognitive level.
Is your child between 13-19 years old?
They may be eligible to join our teen learner classes to improve their language proficiency skills. Contact us by email to arrange an interview.
